Deputy Nursery Manager
Up to £40,000 per annum | 40 Hours Per Week
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Deputy Nursery Manager to join a thriving nursery that is passionate about delivering exceptional early years education and care.
The nursery provides a welcoming and inspiring environment where children are encouraged to learn through exploration, creativity, and play. Bright, thoughtfully designed rooms are tailored to each age group, ensuring children receive age-appropriate learning experiences that support every stage of their development. Outside, stimulating garden spaces encourage physical development, investigation, and imaginative play.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Third in Charge looking to take the next step in their career or an established Deputy Nursery Manager seeking a new challenge within a supportive and forward-thinking nursery.
What We're Looking For
- Level 3 Early Years qualification or above
- Previous experience as a Third in Charge, Deputy Nursery Manager, or similar senior leadership role - Minimum 2 years
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework
- Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
- Experience supporting and developing nursery teams
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
- A passion for delivering outstanding childcare and early years education

Key Responsibilities
- Support the Nursery Manager with the day-to-day operation of the nursery
- Lead and motivate staff to deliver exceptional care and education
- Support staff development through coaching, mentoring, and training
- Ensure high standards of practice are maintained across the setting
- Monitor children's learning, development, and wellbeing
- Promote a child-led approach to learning in line with the EYFS framework
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and external professionals
- Support safeguarding, compliance, and health & safety procedures
- Step into leadership responsibilities in the Nursery Manager's absence
