Deputy Nursery Manager
£31,500 per annum | 40 Hours Per Week

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced senior childcare professional to join a thriving Good Ofsted-rated nursery as Deputy Nursery Manager, supporting the Nursery Manager in delivering exceptional care, education, and outcomes for children.
The nursery provides a warm and stimulating environment where children are encouraged to learn through play, exploration, and discovery. Bright, spacious rooms are designed to support every stage of development, while well-sized outdoor learning areas allow children to build confidence, develop new skills, and connect with the natural world every day.
As Deputy Nursery Manager, you'll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of the nursery, mentoring staff, maintaining high standards, and helping to create an environment where both children and practitioners can thrive.
What We're Looking For
- Level 3 Early Years qualification
- Previous experience in a senior nursery role such as Deputy Nursery Manager, Third In Charge, or similar
- Strong understanding of the EYFS framework
- Good knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Experience supporting and mentoring colleagues
- A nurturing and child-centred approach to childcare

Key Responsibilities
- Support the Nursery Manager with the day-to-day operation of the nursery
- Lead and motivate staff to deliver outstanding care and education
- Monitor quality and support best practice across the setting
- Mentor and develop team members through coaching and support
- Ensure compliance with EYFS, safeguarding, and nursery policies
- Build strong relationships with children, families, and professionals
- Support occupancy, parent engagement, and nursery growth
- Step into leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Nursery Manager
- Maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment
