This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Deputy Nursery Manager to join an award-winning nursery group that is recognised for delivering outstanding childcare, investing in its people, and creating inspiring environments where children can flourish.
Rated Good by Ofsted, this Montessori-inspired nursery is looking for a confident and passionate leader to work alongside the Nursery Manager in delivering exceptional care and education.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys supporting and developing others while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safeguarding, and early years practice.
Working within a well-established organisation, you'll have the opportunity to influence the nursery's continued success by mentoring your team, driving quality improvement, and helping to create an environment where children develop confidence, independence, and a lifelong love of learning.
- Deputy Nursery Manager Requirements
- Full and relevant
Level 3 Early Years qualification or above.
- Previous experience within an early years leadership role, ideally as a
- Deputy Nursery Manager ,
Assistant Nursery Manager , or similar.
- Experience supporting or participating in an
- Ofsted inspection , particularly those achieving
- Good or
Outstanding.
- Proven ability to develop, motivate, and inspire high-performing teams.
- Strong understanding of the EYFS framework, safeguarding, child protection, and wider early years legislation.
- Confident decision-maker with excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.

- Deputy Nursery Manager Responsibilities
- Support the Nursery Manager with the day-to-day leadership and operational management of the nursery.
- Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team to deliver exceptional childcare and education.
- Ensure compliance with the EYFS framework, safeguarding legislation, and all statutory requirements.
- Drive continuous quality improvement and promote outstanding teaching and learning.
- Support recruitment, inductions, supervisions, and staff development in line with safer recruitment practices.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, colleagues, and external professionals.
- Monitor standards across the nursery and contribute towards successful Ofsted inspections.
- Take responsibility for the nursery in the Manager's absence.
