A great Room Leader sets the tone for their room - creating an environment where children feel secure enough to explore, practitioners feel supported to develop, and every day brings new opportunities to learn.
This Good Ofsted-rated nursery provides a vibrant and stimulating environment for children from 3 months to 5 years, with a strong focus on allowing each child to discover, develop and build confidence at their own pace.
Inside, bright and well-resourced rooms are tailored to each age group, providing children with activities and experiences appropriate to their individual stages of development.
Secure outdoor spaces extend learning beyond the classroom, encouraging active play and exploration.
As Room Leader, you'll combine hands-on Early Years practice with leadership responsibility, guiding your team while ensuring children receive consistently high-quality care and education.
What We're Looking For
- Full and relevant
Level 3 Early Years qualification or above.
- Previous experience as a
Room Leader, Senior Nursery Practitioner , or an experienced practitioner ready for greater responsibility.
- Strong understanding of the
EYFS framework and child development.
- Excellent knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Confidence leading, supporting and motivating a room team.
- Experience planning engaging activities around children's individual interests and developmental needs.
- A positive, nurturing and hands-on approach to leadership.

- Take responsibility for the successful day-to-day running of your designated room.
- Lead by example and support practitioners to deliver consistently high-quality Early Years practice.
- Create a safe, welcoming and stimulating environment where children feel confident in.
- Plan and oversee engaging experiences in line with the EYFS.
- Ensure activities reflect children's individual interests and stages of development.
- Encourage active, hands-on learning across the nursery's indoor and outdoor environments.
- Support and mentor colleagues, helping them develop their confidence and knowledge.
- Build strong relationships with children and maintain positive partnerships with families.
- Work closely with the nursery management team to maintain high standards
- Ensure safeguarding, health and safety and nursery policies are consistently followed.
