Level 3 Room Leader
Up to £32,000 per annum | 40 Hours Per Week
Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Room Leader to join their Good Ofsted-rated nursery. The setting offers exceptional indoor facilities, but it's the impressive outdoor environment that truly sets it apart. Purposefully designed with younger children in mind, the expansive outdoor space provides endless opportunities for exploration, discovery, and active learning.
The nursery places a strong emphasis on spending time outdoors every day, with practitioners using both the indoor and outdoor environments to deliver every area of the EYFS curriculum. This approach helps children develop confidence, independence, and a lifelong love of learning through meaningful, hands-on experiences.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced early years professional to lead a room within a supportive nursery that is passionate about delivering outstanding childcare and education.
What We're Looking For
- Level 3 Early Years qualification
- Previous experience as a Room Leader, Senior Nursery Practitioner, or similar senior role
- Strong understanding of the EYFS framework
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Experience supporting and mentoring colleagues
- A nurturing and child-centred approach to childcare

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day running of your designated room
- Support and motivate practitioners to deliver outstanding early years practice
- Plan and oversee engaging activities that promote children's learning and development
- Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment where children can thrive
- Encourage outdoor learning and make full use of the nursery's purpose-built outdoor spaces
- Monitor children's progress through observations and assessments
- Build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues
- Promote high standards of care, safeguarding, and EYFS practice throughout the room
