Our client is looking for an experienced Care Home Chef to join their kitchen team within a beautiful care home for older adults. This is a rewarding opportunity to use your culinary skills to prepare nutritious, freshly cooked meals that support residents' health, wellbeing, and enjoyment.
Working closely with the care team and residents, you'll create varied menus that cater for individual dietary needs while delivering a high standard of food quality and presentation. With a four-day working week and a supportive team environment, this role offers an excellent work-life balance alongside the opportunity to make a meaningful impact every day.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience working in a professional kitchen
- Experience preparing meals for large groups
- Experience catering for specialist diets and nutritional requirements
- Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (essential due to the home's rural location)
- Ideally live within a 45-minute commute of the home
- Excellent knowledge of food hygiene, food safety, and allergen management
- Passion for delivering high-quality, freshly prepared meals
Desirable
- Level 2 Diploma in Food Production and Cooking (or working towards)
