Job Description

  • Level 3 Room Leader
  • £28,000–£30,000 per year | 40 Hours per Week

As a Level 3 Room Leader, you'll take the lead in creating an inspiring environment where children are encouraged to explore their interests, develop independence, and build the skills they need for the future.

Alongside supporting children's individual learning journeys, you'll guide and motivate your room team, ensuring consistently high standards of care and education.

Every room has been carefully designed with age-appropriate resources that bring learning to life through play, both indoors and outdoors.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced early years professional who is ready to take ownership of a room, inspire their team, and create memorable learning experiences for every child.

What We're Looking For

Level 3 Early Years qualification

(or equivalent).

  • Previous experience within an early years setting.
  • Previous experience as a
  • Room Leader ,
  • Deputy Room Leader ,

Senior Nursery Practitioner , or similar would be advantageous.

  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding practices.
  • Confidence leading, supporting, and motivating a room team.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A passion for child-led learning and helping children develop confidence and independence.
  • An enthusiasm for outdoor learning and Forest School approaches would be advantageous.
  • Room Leader Responsibilities
  • Take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the room, ensuring high standards of care and education.
  • Lead, support, and motivate the room team, promoting positive and consistent early years practice.
  • Plan and oversee engaging learning experiences in line with the EYFS framework and children's individual interests.
  • Create stimulating indoor and outdoor opportunities that encourage curiosity, confidence, and independence.
  • Support and mentor practitioners within the room, helping them develop their knowledge and skills.
  • Build strong and positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Oversee observations and assessments, ensuring children's individual learning journeys are effectively supported.
  • Promote children's communication, emotional development, and school readiness.
  • Maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Ensure safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies are consistently followed.
