Room Leader – Level 3
Up to £32,000 per year | 40 Hours per Week | All Year Round | Progression to Third in Charge
This role offers more than the opportunity to lead a room - there is genuine scope to progress into a Third in Charge position.
Our client is dedicated to supporting every aspect of children's early development, creating experiences that build confidence, independence and a genuine enthusiasm for learning.

As children move towards pre-school age, there is an increasing focus on school readiness, helping them develop the social, emotional and practical skills that will support a confident transition into their next stage of education.
We're looking for an experienced Level 3 Room Leader with SEN experience who can provide strong leadership within the room while ensuring every child's individual needs are recognised and supported.
What We're Looking For
- Full and relevant
Level 3 Early Years qualification or above.
- Previous experience as a
Room Leader, Senior Nursery Practitioner or similar senior Early Years professional .
Previous experience supporting children with SEN is essential.
- Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development.
- Good knowledge of supporting children with additional needs and adapting practice appropriately.
- Excellent understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
- Confidence leading, mentoring and motivating a room team.

Your Role
- Lead the successful day-to-day running of your designated room.
- Support and mentor practitioners, encouraging consistently high standards of Early Years practice.
- Ensure children with SEN and additional needs receive appropriate, individualised support.
- Adapt activities and learning environments to ensure every child can participate and progress.
- Plan engaging experiences that encourage creativity, imagination and self-expression.
- Support children's confidence, independence and emotional development.
- Help older children develop the skills and confidence they need for school readiness.
- Observe and assess children's development and ensure appropriate next steps are identified.
- Maintain excellent standards of safeguarding, health and safety and nursery practice.
