Nursing Home Manager
Β£60,000 per year + Bonus Scheme | Luxury Nursing & Dementia Care
We're looking for an accomplished Registered Home Manager to lead a luxury nursing home providing nursing and dementia care for a small number of older adults.
The home has been thoughtfully designed to combine excellent clinical care with a comfortable, high-quality environment, creating a service where residents receive individual attention while enjoying the surroundings and experience expected from premium care.
This position requires more than strong care knowledge. We're looking for a manager who understands how to run a commercially successful private care home, with experience driving occupancy, building the home's reputation and maintaining excellent regulatory standards.
The Experience We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Registered Home Manager within an older adult care setting is essential.
- Ideally NMC registered as an RGN or RMN.
- Experienced non-nurse managers with a Level 5 Health & Social Care/Leadership qualification may also be considered.
- Strong experience managing a nursing and/or dementia care home.
- Excellent working knowledge of CQC regulations and Fundamental Standards.
- A proven record of achieving and maintaining positive CQC outcomes..
- Proven commercial and business management experience within the private care sector.
- Experience managing and improving occupancy levels.
- Confidence with budgets, financial performance and operational targets.
- Proven ability to recruit, retain, motivate and develop high-performing teams.

Leading the Home
- Provide strong and visible leadership across the nursing home.
- Ensure residents receive consistently high-quality, person-centred nursing and dementia care.
- Maintain excellent standards of CQC compliance, safeguarding and governance.
- Lead the home through inspections and ensure continuous regulatory readiness.
- Recruit, develop and retain a skilled and motivated team.
- Create a positive culture where colleagues understand expectations and feel supported to perform at their best.
- Take ownership of occupancy, budgets and commercial performance.
- Develop effective marketing strategies to strengthen the home's profile within the local community.
- Build relationships with families, healthcare professionals, commissioners and referral partners.
- Monitor enquiries and admissions and identify opportunities to increase occupancy.
- Oversee quality audits, improvement plans and operational performance.
- Maintain the premium standards and resident experience expected within a luxury care environment.
- Ensure the home remains financially sustainable without compromising the quality of care.
