Nursery Manager

Up to £50,000 per annum

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Nursery Manager to lead a wonderful early years setting and play a key role in shaping the future success of the nursery.

This position is ideal for a confident and inspirational leader with previous nursery management experience and a proven track record of delivering high-quality childcare and education. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a large nursery, ensuring outstanding standards of care, compliance, and learning are consistently maintained.

Working closely with staff, families, and senior leadership teams, you will drive continuous improvement, support staff development, and create a positive environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive.

What We're Looking For

  • Level 3 Early Years qualification or above
  • Previous experience as a Nursery Manager
  • Experience managing a large nursery setting
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework
  • Excellent understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
  • Proven leadership and people management skills
  • Experience managing budgets, occupancy, and nursery performance
  • Strong communication and organisational skills

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the nursery
  • Ensure compliance with EYFS, safeguarding, health and safety, and regulatory requirements
  • Support, motivate, and develop the nursery team
  • Monitor and maintain high standards of care, education, and learning outcomes
  • Build strong relationships with children, families, and external professionals
  • Manage occupancy levels and support business growth
  • Oversee staffing, recruitment, and performance management processes
  • Manage nursery budgets and resources effectively
  • Prepare for inspections and drive continuous quality improvement
