Deputy Nursery Manager

Salary: £37,900 per year
40 hours per week, all year round

Rated Good by Ofsted, this service is led by a long-standing Nursery Manager and provides a spacious, modern environment where children flourish. As Deputy Nursery Manager, you'll support the day-to-day running of the nursery, lead and inspire the team, and help maintain the outstanding standards the nursery is known for.

What We’re Looking For

  • Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent) is essential.
  • Previous experience in a senior nursery position, such as Deputy Nursery Manager or Third In Charge.
  • Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and safeguarding legislation.
  • Confident leadership skills with the ability to inspire and support a team.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Passionate about delivering outstanding childcare and early years education.

Deputy Nursery Manager Responsibilities

  • Support the Nursery Manager with the daily running of the nursery.
  • Lead, motivate, and mentor the nursery team to deliver exceptional childcare.
  • Ensure compliance with EYFS, safeguarding, and all statutory requirements.
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Support recruitment, inductions, staff supervision, and ongoing development.
  • Monitor the quality of practice throughout the nursery and drive continuous improvement.
  • Take responsibility for the nursery in the Manager's absence.
