Job Description

  • Staff Nurse (RGN) – Day Shifts
  • £24.00–£25.00 per hour | 40 Hours per Week | Permanent Days

This one has been designed to feel like home and is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Registered General Nurse (RGN) to join a beautiful, family-run nursing home providing specialist nursing and dementia care for older adults.

Full of character, the home has been carefully renovated and extended to meet residents' changing needs while retaining its warm and welcoming atmosphere.

The focus is firmly on providing individualised care, ensuring residents feel comfortable, respected and genuinely at home.

We're looking for an experienced nurse with strong clinical skills, a stable employment history and previous experience supporting older adults with dementia.

This is a permanent day-shift position suited to someone looking to become a valued, long-term member of the team.

What We're Looking For

  • Active

NMC registration as an RGN .

  • Previous nursing experience within an older adult or nursing home setting .
  • Experience supporting residents living with dementia .
  • Strong clinical skills and confidence managing a range of nursing needs.
  • A stable employment history demonstrating longevity and commitment in previous roles.
  • Confidence with medication management, care planning and clinical assessments.
  • Good understanding of safeguarding, infection control and clinical governance.
  • A compassionate and person-centred approach to older adult care.

Your Role

  • Deliver safe, effective and compassionate nursing care to residents.
  • Support individuals with a range of nursing and dementia care needs.
  • Administer and manage medication safely in line with NMC standards.
  • Complete clinical assessments and maintain accurate, person-centred care plans.
  • Monitor residents' health and respond promptly to changes or concerns.
  • Support and guide care colleagues throughout the shift.
  • Promote residents' dignity, independence and individual choices.
  • Build trusting relationships with residents and their families.
  • Work collaboratively with GPs and other healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain high standards of safeguarding, infection prevention and clinical practice.

All appointments are subject to satisfactory references, an enhanced DBS check, verification of the right to work in the UK, NMC registration checks and any other pre-employment checks required for the role.
