Nursery Manager
Β£44,000 per year | Full Time | 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract
This is an opportunity to take the lead of a beautifully refurbished nursery and make your impact from day one.
Recently renovated to a high standard, the setting offers spacious, thoughtfully designed rooms filled with natural resources, creating a warm and stimulating environment where children have the freedom to investigate, create and learn through play.
The experience continues outdoors, with a large garden providing plenty of space for movement, exploration and adventure. Children are encouraged to build their physical confidence, develop independence and enjoy meaningful experiences in the fresh air as part of everyday nursery life.
We're looking for an established Nursery Manager who can confidently take responsibility for the setting throughout this 12-month contract, providing continuity for the team and families while maintaining consistently high standards of care and education.
What We're Looking For
- Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification or above.
- Previous experience as a Nursery Manager is essential.
- Proven experience successfully leading an Early Years setting.
- Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development.
- Excellent knowledge of safeguarding, child protection and regulatory requirements.
- Good understanding of Ofsted expectations and inspection processes.
- Experience leading, motivating and developing nursery teams.
- Confidence managing performance and maintaining high standards across the setting.
- Ability to monitor quality, identify areas for development and implement improvements.
- Strong organisational and operational management skills.

Your Role as Nursery Manager
- Lead the successful day-to-day operation of the nursery.
- Provide visible leadership and clear direction to the Early Years team.
- Maintain excellent standards of care, education and safeguarding.
- Ensure the EYFS is delivered effectively throughout the setting.
- Recruit, support, coach and develop practitioners and room leaders.
- Monitor nursery practice and drive continuous quality improvement.
- Maintain strong preparation for Ofsted inspections and ensure regulatory requirements are consistently met.
- Encourage teams to make full use of the nursery's natural resources and spacious outdoor environment.
- Build positive relationships with children and strong partnerships with families.
- Oversee staffing, occupancy and the wider operational performance of the nursery.
- Maintain a positive team culture where colleagues feel supported, accountable and motivated.
- Ensure a smooth and well-managed service throughout the 12-month contract.
