Mental Health Nurse (RMN) – Days or Nights available

up to £41,961.92| 38.5 hours per week | Children & Adolescents

Are you a dedicated and compassionate Registered Mental Health Nurse looking for a fresh opportunity to make a meaningful impact with children and younger adults? We’re recruiting for days/night shifts at a mental health service in Lancashire.

As a Mental Health Nurse (RMN) -, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality nursing care to young people and children who live with complex mental health difficulties. You’ll be part of a supportive team helping to ensure the best clinical outcomes.

What We’re Looking For

  • Active NMC registration as an RMN
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Minimum 1 year post-registration
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the Mental Health Act, safeguarding procedures, and NICE guidelines.
  • Experience working in mental health, CAMHS, forensic, or crisis settings is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality, person-centred nursing care to young people, ensuring care is safe, effective, and tailored to individual needs.
  • Build positive therapeutic relationships with young people, their families, carers, and multidisciplinary professionals.
  • Promote independence, choice, and empowerment, supporting young people to make informed decisions about their care.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating professionalism, compassion, respect, and integrity in all aspects of practice.
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to achieve the best possible outcomes for young people.
  • Ensure compliance with NMC standards, safeguarding procedures, and all relevant policies and legislation.
  • Contribute to a positive, supportive, and inclusive team culture, sharing best practice and supporting colleagues where required.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and deliver evidence-based care in line with current guidelines.
  • Champion continuous improvement, helping to develop and enhance the quality and safety of the service.
