What We’re Looking For

  • Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with an active NMC PIN
  • Previous experience working within a mental health hospital or inpatient setting
  • Senior nursing or management experience
  • Strong understanding of mental health legislation, safeguarding, and clinical governance
  • Experience leading and developing nursing teams
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day clinical and operational management of the ward
  • Ensure high standards of patient care, safety, and wellbeing
  • Support and develop nursing and support staff through coaching, supervision, and training
  • Monitor clinical practice, care planning, and risk management processes
  • Promote a positive therapeutic environment that supports recovery
  • Ensure compliance with CQC standards, policies, and clinical governance requirements
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to achieve positive patient outcomes
  • Support audits, quality improvement initiatives, and service development
  • Build positive relationships with patients, families, and external professionals
