As Ward Manager, you’ll be instrumental in shaping the culture of the ward, empowering your team, and ensuring patients receive consistent, high-quality care in a supportive and structured environment.
What We’re Looking For
- Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with an active NMC PIN
- Previous experience working within a mental health hospital or inpatient setting
- Senior nursing or management experience
- Strong understanding of mental health legislation, safeguarding, and clinical governance
- Experience leading and developing nursing teams
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
- Commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day clinical and operational management of the ward
- Ensure high standards of patient care, safety, and wellbeing
- Support and develop nursing and support staff through coaching, supervision, and training
- Monitor clinical practice, care planning, and risk management processes
- Promote a positive therapeutic environment that supports recovery
- Ensure compliance with CQC standards, policies, and clinical governance requirements
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to achieve positive patient outcomes
- Support audits, quality improvement initiatives, and service development
- Build positive relationships with patients, families, and external professionals
