Do you have a passion for early years education and leadership? We’re looking for an enthusiastic Room Leader to inspire and support children in our client nursery. This is a fantastic opportunity to take the lead in a nurturing, supportive setting while helping children develop, learn, and thrive.

Working Monday to Friday, 9:00-15:00, you’ll enjoy a role that balances meaningful leadership with hands-on interaction with the children, ensuring a safe, stimulating, and joyful environment.

  • Lead the room team, supporting colleagues and fostering a collaborative, positive atmosphere.
  • Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework.
  • Observe, assess, and record children’s progress, using insights to guide learning and development.
  • Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health, and safety.
  • Build strong partnerships with parents and carers, providing updates and advice on their child’s progress.
  • Support the wider nursery team, sharing best practices and contributing to ongoing improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Level 3 Early Years qualification or equivalent – essential.
  • Experience working in early years settings, ideally with leadership responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development milestones.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and team leadership skills.
  • A caring, patient, and proactive approach, with a genuine passion for supporting children’s growth.

Competitive hourly rate: £13-£14.90 per hour. 30-hour week, Monday to Friday, ideal for work-life balance. A supportive and friendly team environment.
