Nursery Practitioner

Children move confidently between bright, age‑specific playrooms and a large outdoor space where they can enjoy many adventures and opportunities to learn. As a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner, you will work directly with children, supporting their learning, development, and wellbeing while helping to create a positive and engaging environment across the setting.

Applications will be reviewed against the essential criteria. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview and nursery walk‑round.

Responsibilities

• Support children’s learning and development through play‑based activities
• Follow the EYFS framework to plan and deliver engaging experiences
• Complete observations and contribute to learning journeys
• Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
• Maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment
• Follow safeguarding, health, and safety procedures at all times

Qualifications

• Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification
• Experience working within a nursery or early years setting
• Good understanding of the EYFS framework and safeguarding practices
• A positive, nurturing approach to supporting children’s development
• Strong teamwork and communication skills

Compensation and Working Conditions

• Salary: Up to £29,400 per year
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Contract: Full-time, permanent
• Setting: Private day nursery
