Nursery Practitioner

Overview

The nursery is set in a converted Victorian house and provides care for children aged six weeks to five years. The setting is homely, with a large outdoor space divided by age range and accessible from every room, supporting consistent indoor-outdoor play. We\’re looking for a reliable practitioner who can work confidently within the EYFS and support children across different age groups. You should be comfortable working in a busy nursery environment, able to follow routines, and willing to work closely with the team to maintain consistent practice.

Responsibilities

• Support children\\\’s learning and development through play and planned activities
• Build strong relationships with children and families
• Work with the team to deliver EYFS outcomes consistently
• Maintain accurate observations and learning records
• Help keep rooms and resources safe, clean, and organised
• Support the daily running of the nursery alongside colleagues

Requirements

• A Level 2 or Level 3 childcare qualification is required.
• Applicants must have a strong working knowledge of the EYFS and be confident working in a busy nursery setting.
• Recent experience working in a nursery or early years setting
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework
• Confidence supporting children across different age groups
• Desirable: Additional safeguarding or early years training
• Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification

Salary & Conditions

• Salary: Up to £26,000
• Hours: Full-time
• Contract: Permanent
• Ofsted rating: Good
