Overview
Nursery Manager role overseeing day-to-day running of the nursery across all age groups, with responsibility for EYFS implementation, planning, observations, and record keeping.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day running of the nursery across all age groups
- Implement the EYFS and monitor planning, observations, and record keeping
- Manage staffing, ratios, and deployment across the setting
- Maintain compliance with safeguarding, regulatory, and quality standards
- Build effective working relationships with parents, carers, and families
- Work with local authorities, regulatory bodies, and external agencies when required
- Salary: £36,000 per annum
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Contract: Permanent
- Age range: 3 months to 5 years
Qualifications
- Applicants must hold a relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification or above
- This position is not suitable for newly qualified practitioners or candidates without nursery management experience
- Recent experience as a Nursery Manager or senior Deputy Manager
- Strong working knowledge of the EYFS and regulatory requirements
- Confidence leading staff, managing performance, and maintaining standards
- Ability to manage a busy nursery environment while staying compliant
- Experience supporting Ofsted inspections or regulatory visits
