Room Leader – Toddler Room

£31,500 per Annum | 40 Hours per Week

Toddlers are full of curiosity, energy and excitement as they discover the world around them. This is a lovely opportunity for an enthusiastic Toddler Room Leader to create engaging learning experiences and support children through an important stage of their development.

The nursery offers a bright, spacious environment where children have plenty of room to play, explore and grow in confidence. Outside, a large garden provides even more opportunities for children to be active, investigate their surroundings and enjoy hands‑on learning in the fresh air.

We're looking for a confident Early Years professional who can lead the Toddler Room, inspire their team and create a nurturing environment where every child feels happy, secure and encouraged to develop new skills.

What We're Looking For

  • A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification or above – essential
  • Previous experience within a nursery or Early Years setting
  • Room leadership or senior practitioner experience would be advantageous
  • Strong understanding of the EYFS, safeguarding and toddler development
  • Confidence leading, motivating and supporting a team
  • A passion for creating engaging, play‑based learning experiences
  • Strong communication, organisational and teamwork skills
  • A caring, enthusiastic and hands‑on approach

What's On Offer

  • Discounted childcare
  • Long service awards
  • Day off for your birthday
  • Training and development opportunities
  • Employee Assistance Programme

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the day‑to‑day running of the Toddler Room, maintaining high standards of care and education
  • Support, motivate and guide practitioners within the room
  • Plan engaging activities in line with the EYFS
  • Encourage toddlers' communication, confidence, independence and social development
  • Oversee observations, assessments and children's individual learning plans
  • Create a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment
  • Build positive relationships with parents and carers
  • Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health and safety and nursery practice

All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements, including an enhanced DBS check, satisfactory references, and verification of the right to work in the UK, in line with safeguarding responsibilities.
