Our client is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Unit Nurse Manager - Nights to join their dementia specialised nursing home. The ideal candidate will be a qualified Registered General Nurse (RGN) or Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with a passion for providing exceptional care and ensuring efficient unit operations. The role demands strong leadership, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to fostering a supportive environment for both residents and staff.

What We’re Looking For

Hold a valid NMC PIN as a

Registered General Nurse (RGN) or

Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN).

Demonstrate experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a nursing home setting.

Excellent clinical skills and an in-depth understanding of safeguarding policies and care standards.

Have the ability to manage high-pressure situations with professionalism and efficiency.

Exhibit strong organisational skills to manage staff rotas and day-to-day unit operations.

Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members while maintaining empathy and inclusivity.

Responsibilities

Providing professional, person-centred care in accordance with residents' care plans.

Ensuring compliance with safeguarding, medication protocols, and industry standards.

Overseeing and managing unit care plans to maintain best practices and individual needs.

Responding promptly to emergencies and escalating concerns to appropriate stakeholders.

Accurately maintaining care records, incident reports, and end-of-shift handovers.

Coordinating and resolving staff rota issues, arranging agency bookings when required.

Supporting and mentoring staff to create a positive and collaborative working environment.

Actively participating in team meetings and quality improvement initiatives.
