Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and serving fresh, balanced, and age-appropriate meals in line with the nursery's nutritional guidance for under-fives
- Ensuring all meals are prepared in full accordance with each child's documented allergy and dietary requirements
- Implementing rigorous processes to prevent cross-contamination, including clearly labelled, separate utensils and preparation areas
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and hygienic kitchen at all times, meeting all food hygiene and Health & Safety standards
- Managing stock levels, ordering, and supplier relationships to keep the kitchen running smoothly
- Maintaining accurate records relating to food preparation, cleaning schedules, and equipment maintenance
- Working collaboratively with the nursery team, contributing to the warm and caring ethos of the setting
