Here at Williams, an independent trade-only plumbing and heating merchant, we’re looking for a proven Regional Manager to join our business and help our network of branch leaders and their teams be the best they can be. Your focus will be supporting your teams, sharing great ideas, and ensuring that no matter how far spread, the collaboration and camaraderie between branches remains strong. You’ll receive huge satisfaction from seeing your teams improving both personally and professionally, and you’re willing to go the extra mile to help them achieve this.

You will oversee a network of around 15+ branch operations located in the Hampshire, Sussex, Surrey and Kent areas, empowering our branch leaders and teams to deliver the exceptional customer service Williams are renowned for, all whilst driving regional performance and ensuring we remain one of the best places to work in the UK!

As our Regional Manager, you’ll be:

  • Fostering a can-do culture throughout your teams to ensure exceptional customer service across the region.
  • Motivating your teams and enabling them to become the best leaders and plumbers merchants they can be.
  • Maximising engagement, ensuring everyone feels valued as we strive towards collective success.
  • Encouraging strong two-way communication between your teams and Central Support.
  • Improving operational performance through easy-to-understand solutions.
  • Optimising the long-term financial performance of each individual branch.
  • Identifying, recruiting and developing talent for growth and succession.
  • Cultivating great ideas and opportunities to improve at all levels.
  • Upholding our values and endorsing The Williams Way.

Ideally, you are:

  • A proven Regional Manager with at least two years exposure working for a plumbing and heating merchants, builders merchants or similar industry (ESSENTIAL).
  • A confident and natural coach, who recognises the different capabilities of their team members understanding that success isn’t solely based on top line sales and profit.
  • A proven Senior Leader with a strong sales acumen and operational skill set to boot.
  • Motivational and engaging - measuring your success by the success in others.
  • Determined and focussed on helping your teams to succeed in their roles.
  • Naturally engaging, approachable, and passionate about people.
  • Passionate about delivering excellent customer service.
  • A high achiever with a can-do attitude.
