Here at Williams, an independent trade-only plumbing and heating merchant, we’re looking for a Driver & Branch Assistant to join our busy and friendly team in Cambridge!

This is a varied and active role which includes predominantly delivery driving (70%), and occasionally assisting with warehouse duties (15%) and serving customers on the trade counter and over the phone (15%). If you like having lots of variety in your daily tasks, this could be the opportunity you have been looking for!

If you also have previous exposure of working within a plumbing and heating merchant, builders\’ merchant or wholesaler, trade counter, DIY, hardware, or on the tools in the plumbing and heating trade, we would LOVE to hear from you!

Responsibilities

• Predominantly delivering plumbing and heating products to our trades customers in the local area.
• Maintaining the warehouse, including stock rotation and general housekeeping.
• Serving on the trade counter and handling incoming enquiries.
• Accurately picking orders in preparation for delivery.
• Receiving, checking and storing incoming goods.
• Assisting with the general upkeep of the branch.
• Processing quotes.
