Here at Williams, an independent trade-only plumbing and heating merchant, we're looking for a Supply Chain Analyst to join our busy supply chain team in Fareham! This is a great opportunity to be part of a growing function where your ideas and insights can make a real cultural impact.
In this role, you’ll help ensure our customers get what they need, when they need it – all while keeping our stock levels efficient and well-managed. You’ll work closely with teams across the business and play a key part in shaping how we plan and improve our supply chain!
If you enjoy problem-solving, working with data, finding more efficient ways of doing things and have previous exposure working within a similar supply chain, stock controller or demand planning role within trade, B2B, wholesale, retail or commercial environments we would LOVE to hear from you!
As our Supply Chain Analyst, you'll be:
- Keeping products available for customers across multiple sites and channels.
- Maintaining optimum stock levels.
- Engaging teams across the business to drive alignment on supply chain goals.
- Partnering with Commercial, Sales, Warehousing and Branch teams to support business goals.
- Sharing insights through clear reporting on stock and performance KPIs.
- Analysing data to identify trends, issues and opportunities for improvement.
- Contributing to continuous improvement across our supply chain.
- Supporting and improving forecasting and planning processes.
- Monitoring stock levels and reducing excess or slow-moving items.
- Working with suppliers to maintain strong service levels, including site visits.
Ideally, you are:
- Experienced in supply chain within a retail or commercial setting.
- Highly confident in working with data and using forecasting tools.
- An intermediate/advanced user of MS Excel.
- Commercially aware with ability to optimise product range to drive sales.
- Proactive and solution-focused with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Confident in constructively challenging the status quo.
- Collaborative with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Analytically strong with excellent attention to detail.
