Are you a multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer looking for your next challenge in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? I’m representing a well-established and growing manufacturer based in Perthshire, who are seeking a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join their highly skilled Engineering Team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking business with a strong focus on continuous improvement, safety, and team development. The business has recently doubled in size, and plans to nearly double again within the next 24 months, creating opportunities to progress!
About the Role:
As part of a collaborative Engineering Team, you’ll be responsible for carrying out a blend of preventative, corrective and reactive maintenance, along with involvement in engineering projects across the site. You’ll play a key role in ensuring production downtime is minimised, equipment is operating efficiently, and quality standards are upheld at all times. This role follows a 4 on / 4 off rotating shift pattern – working both days and nights on 12-hour shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and log data on the CMMS system
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and implement effective root cause analysis
- Complete corrective actions to high standards in line with operational and safety procedures
- Support procurement of critical components and maintenance tools
- Liaise effectively with internal teams and external contractors
- Ensure engineering tasks align with site standards and maintenance schedules
- Support training, knowledge sharing, and the continual improvement of site engineering practices
- Adhere to Health & Safety regulations and support proactive risk reduction efforts
- Record energy usage data (gas, water, electricity) and highlight inefficiencies
- Report and act upon any performance or machinery issues affecting output or efficiency
What We’re Looking For:
- Time-served, multi-skilled engineer – Electrically biased with experience in a manufacturing setting
- Strong electrical fault-finding skills - Working with panels, working from wiring diagrams, sensors, reading inputs/outputs etc.
- Sound understanding of maintenance planning, asset care, and compliance
- Familiar with CMMS systems and site safety protocols
- Proactive and reliable with good communication and problem-solving abilities
- Comfortable working in a high-output, performance-driven production environment
