With an almost unrivalled heritage of engineering and racing F1 cars and unforgettable eras that demonstrate it is a force to be reckoned with, the British squad boasts 16 F1 World Championship titles to its name.
Since its foundation in 1977 by the eminent, late Sir Frank Williams and engineering pioneer Sir Patrick Head, the team has won nine Constructors’ Championships, in association with Cosworth, Honda and Renault.
Its roll call of drivers is legendary, with its seven Drivers’ Championship trophies being lifted by true icons of the sport: Alan Jones, Keke Rosberg, Nelson Piquet, Nigel Mansell, Alain Prost, Damon Hill and Jacques Villeneuve.
The team has made history before and is out to make it again with a long‑term mission to evolve and return to the front of the grid.
Job Description
Every part that's passed through our garages over the last 40 years tells a story.
From race‑winning gearboxes to championship‑clinching chassis, Williams Heritage keeps that history alive, and now we're looking for a Junior Inventory Controller to help us look after it.
This is a hands‑on role for someone who takes pride in getting the details right.
You'll be trusted with tracking, storing and moving thousands of components across our Heritage and Archive warehouses, using our D365 ERP system to keep every single item accounted for.
No two days are quite the same: one minute you're picking parts for a live car build, the next you're driving a forklift to shift stock into the archive, or booking a courier to get a brake caliper to where it's needed, fast.
If you've got a genuine passion for motorsport, a naturally organised mind and you like the idea of working somewhere your accuracy genuinely matters, we'd love to hear from you.
- What you'll be doing
- Carrying out accurate stock takes across 40 years' worth of car parts and bought‑in items, using hand‑held devices.
- Booking new and re‑manufactured parts into Goods‑In and completing accurate put‑away work.
- Keeping our inventory management systems up to date, so every component, tool and consumable is traceable.
- Picking and issuing parts for assemblies like hydraulics and gearboxes, working from build coordinators' documentation.
- Managing parts transfers between F1 Stores and Heritage Stores, and building and maintaining truck inventory.
- Organising van and courier bookings so build and parts coordinators always have what they need, when they need it.
- Keeping the warehouse properly organised, labelled and accessible, and driving the forklift as required.
Qualifications
- What you'll bring
- A genuinely organised, thorough approach, you notice the details others miss.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills; you'll be working closely with mechanics, build coordinators and the wider team.
- A real interest in motorsport, and ideally some understanding of Williams' history and legacy.
- A team‑player mindset, with the confidence to bring forward ideas for doing things better.
- GCSEs/A-levels or equivalent; experience with inventory management software (D365 or similar) is a bonus, but not essential, we'll train you.
- A forklift licence is a plus, but again, training is provided if you don't have one yet.
