For almost 50 years, Williams F1 Team has been at the forefront of one of the fastest sports on the planet, being one of the top three most successful teams in history competing in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship. The British squad boasts 16 F1 World Championship titles to its name.

To complete the preparation and on‑time build of the Event Garage and all associated equipment. The Garage Technician (electrician) will work to build and assemble event and race equipment to the required specifications, whilst maintaining Williams Presentational Standards, both at events and at the Williams factory. The Garage Technician (electrician) will proactively collaborate with different departments to report faults and ensure solutions are implemented in a timely manner. They will also play a pivotal role in team Pit Stops and driving performance whenever possible as part of this process.

Operational Duties
  • Attend Williams’ UK sites, race and other Formula 1 events as required.
  • Carry out the preparation, loading / unloading, build and disassembly of event equipment both prior to and during events, ensuring the equipment is built to the correct technical and presentational specification.
  • Carry event operational roles and tasks as directed, tyre/wheel management, refuelling of F1 car etc. during race/test events.
  • Install, test, and maintain garage systems, including electrical systems and equipment, across our event garage and pit lane setups.
  • Ensure all wiring and systems meet the highest safety and technical standards.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults under time‑critical conditions, both trackside and at HQ in Grove.
  • Help to identify ways to improve Team operational performance.
  • Work with the Race Logistics Manager, Event Logistics Manager and Chief Garage Technician to meet event targets and standards.
  • To take part in race pit stops and associated training programs.
  • Proactively support others to complete their assigned tasks.

  • An enthusiastic self‑starter, with an ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Self‑sufficient, able to independently take responsibility for completing tasks and objectives.
  • Experience in loading and securing valuable freight by land, sea and air.
  • Previous motor sport experience as a garage technician is essential, ideally experience with either Tyres, Fuel or Electrical installation.
  • A team player who is comfortable working with internal and external entities.
  • Able to adopt a flexible approach to working hours during events and peak times.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office suite, Outlook, Excel & Word.
  • Impeccable attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple projects at the same time.
