We are looking for a PLM Technical Lead to join the team. PLM is a sub-section of Enterprise Systems which is part of our Technology Innovation Group (TIG) department. The Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) team covers CAD/CAM/CAE/PLM and Manufacturing Systems. This role will provide the strategic direction for Siemens Teamcenter, leading on projects and development strong relationships with key internal groups, covering four main areas of work:
- Effective triage of Teamcenter Project requests
- At elbow support/training of new products
- Instilling best practice by identification of continuous improvement opportunities
- Day to day system administration
Responsibilities and duties:
- Lead the design, deployment, and optimization of Siemens Teamcenter PLM solutions.
- Act as the primary technical authority for Teamcenter implementations and integrations.
- Drive digital transformation initiatives through effective PLM strategies and process improvements.
- Ensure best practices in configuration, customization, and deployment of Teamcenter modules.
- Support change management and user adoption through training, documentation, and stakeholder engagement.
- Monitor system performance and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency and scalability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective project delivery.
- Support with reviewing repeat issues to help identify the root cause and implement a permanent solution.
- Take ownership of major incidents working directly with Head of Service Management.
- Develop and update technical documentation.
- Liaise and work with the rest of the PLM team to ensure joined up thinking and development.
- Require flexibility to work extended or cover out of hours upgrades or outages.
- Participate in a rota with other team members for out-of-hours support.
Skills and experience required:
- Proven experience in leading Teamcenter PLM implementations in a technical or solution architect role.
- Expertise NX integrations for seamless CAD-PLM workflows.
- Strong working knowledge of BMIDE (Business Modeler Integrated Development Environment) for data model customization and deployment.
- Hands-on experience in Teamcenter configuration including workflows, handlers, preferences, and access management.
- Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions with a focus on scalability and sustainability.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
- Experience with systems integration, data migration, and enterprise IT environments.
- Experience working with TCRA will be beneficial.
- A team player with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
