Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Junior Kit Cutter and Digitiser Technician to join our team working on a night shift. In this role you will play a pivotal role in ensuring kits and inserts are processed in compliance with production processes and QA procedures. This is an exciting role in a fast-paced environment, and you will work closely with our composite production areas, ply-book and logistics teams, to support the production and preparation of laminating kits and insert prep.
As a Junior Kit Cutter and Digitiser Technician , your key responsibilities will be:
- Operation of our Zund Cutting Table and Sigmanest Software.
- Reverse engineering of laminators templates using Sigmanest digitising software package.
- Processing and optimisation of Fibresim 2D DXF Files.
- Booking in/out materials using inventory software package, to maintain accurate stock control and traceability of all raw material movements.
- Perform insert etch processing to prepare components for use in composite manufacturing.
- Operation of our chemical etching plant and vapour blasting equipment.
- General cleaning and tidying of work areas aligned to our 5s Principles.
- Maintain raw material batch, outlife and shelf-life records.
- Daily maintenance checks of key department equipment.
- Processing of supporting manufacturing documentation.
We are looking for a Junior Kit Cutter and Digitiser Technician with the following experience and skills:
- Experience within a similar environment is desirable.
- GCSE/A levels.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in using PC and related software.
- Ability to interpret engineering and plybook drawings/books.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Effective team player with strong collaboration skills.
- Highly adaptable and able to thrive in dynamic environments.
Please note this role is working on a night shift: Monday to Thursday.
Due to our Christmas Shutdown, we may not be able to review your application until we return to the factory in the New Year.
