Job Description: Engineering excellence becomes execution - and where we create our winning formula. Test & Validation pushes every part through advanced rigs and durability testing to confirm it meets the highest standards. Assembly then brings together thousands of components into a complete F1 car, ensuring every mechanical and electrical system integrates flawlessly for reliability and speed, before it is sent to the track.
As an Assembly + Test & Validation Apprentice, you will embark on a structured rotational programme designed to offer a rare opportunity to gain hands-on experience at the heart of a Formula 1 team. Over the course of the programme, you will rotate between two critical departments: Test & Validation and Assembly. This will give you a chance to develop a strong foundation in vehicle testing, data-driven problem-solving, race car build processes, and high-precision engineering.

You are expected to continuously seek ways to improve department and personal performance. Maintain a high attention to detail and the ability to follow precise instructions and quality standards required for race-critical assembly and testing. Possess the ability to stay calm and organised in dynamic, high-performance environments, always ensuring safety and compliance.
Make Real Impact: Execute the practical setup, operation, and de-rigging of mechanical and structural test rigs, monitoring and recording test data to ensure the highest level of quality. Develop competency with precision tools and assembly fixtures to support the high tolerance build and maintenance of F1 assemblies, contributing to quality control checks and inspection procedures. Manage parts, tooling, and build data accurately and efficiently, while participating in pit crew training and development activities to support operational readiness.
Find Your Place: You have good communication, organisational skills, and a keen interest in engineering. You must have GCSEs (or equivalent) including Mathematics, English, and a STEM subject, and be eligible for a relevant engineering apprenticeship programme. Candidates with A-Levels or a BTEC in engineering/motorsport, or relevant hobby/project experience (e.g., karting, automotive repair, model engineering) are encouraged to apply. You will graduate with a Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering and Automotive Engineering Pathway QAUH: Motorsport Composite Manufacture.
