We have a new opportunity for a Senior Systems Engineer to join our world‑class Technical team. This role sits at the heart of what we do - your work will directly shape the performance of our car both on track and at the factory. You will lead the specification and system‑level design of our electrical and electronics systems across the car, dyno and simulator facilities, bridging technical complexity with real‑world delivery, and ensuring our most critical systems perform when it matters most.
Responsibilities
- Work with stakeholders to define and document system technical and functional requirements.
- Design the overall structure and architecture of complex car and rig systems, ensuring components integrate effectively, including the creation of topographical diagrams to document system design.
- Contribute to the integration, detail design, and testing of system elements to ensure everything functions as intended.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges during testing, development, and live use, both at the factory and at the track.
- Help define testing, service, and maintenance requirements throughout the systems lifecycle.
- Complete regular analysis to improve performance, reliability, and efficiency, and to reduce cost.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in system‑level design, or hands‑on design experience with relevant system components such as harnessing, sensing devices, and data loggers.
- Experience in F1, Formula E or other motorsport category.
- Proficiency in electrical CAD wiring design software.
- In‑depth understanding of electrical and electronic assemblies, including MIL‑spec wiring harnesses and connectors.
- Good working knowledge of data logging equipment, sensing devices, and a range of communication protocols such as CAN and Ethernet.
- Strong understanding of system architecture and integration principles.
- Experience with Raychem harness systems, Autosport connectors, and motorsport ECU systems is highly desirable.
- An organised approach with the ability to clearly prioritise tasks and deliver to agreed deadlines.
