Overview
As a Senior Continuous Improvement Engineer, you will lead strategic CI initiatives to boost efficiency, quality and performance across Williams F1 Team. You’ll work with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain and the Race Team to drive sustainable change that directly impacts performance. The role combines Lean/Six Sigma practice with coaching to uplift capability and deliver measurable gains. Responsibilities
- Lead high-impact CI projects from concept to implementation and benefit realization
- Apply advanced Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to eliminate waste, improve flow and reduce lead times
- Drive process standardisation, visual management and performance measurement across departments
- Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions
- Develop and deliver CI training programmes for engineers, CI Champions and manufacturing teams
- Coach and mentor CI Engineers and support capability development across the organisation
- Evaluate new technologies, automation opportunities and process innovations
- Build robust business cases with ROI and Capex justifications for improvement initiatives
- Influence stakeholders at all levels to secure engagement and drive change
- Capture and share best practices to strengthen CI capability across Williams F1 Team
Key requirements
- Degree qualified in Manufacturing, Engineering or a related discipline
- Six Sigma Green Belt certification
- Significant experience in Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence or Process Improvement roles
- Demonstrated success leading complex, cross-functional improvement projects
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools and structured problem-solving methodologies
- Experience designing and delivering training, coaching or development programmes
- Strong analytical capability with experience using Minitab, Power BI and Excel
