Overview
In this role, you will lead and mature design quality processes within Williams F1 Team to raise engineering governance and deliverable quality across Vehicle Engineering. You will manage a team and own a defined slice of the Design Quality remit from concept through embedded practice, mapping and maintaining processes that align with FIA regulations and evolving needs of Engineering, Operations, Finance and the Race Team. You will influence across functions to implement effective, durable improvements rather than perfunctory changes. Responsibilities
- Own the quality, productivity and delivery of your group's work with defined objectives and timelines
- Deliver new tools and processes to support Design Office and the wider organization
- Lead ongoing process mapping and maintain process integrity
- Lead and coach your team, including performance reviews and development plans
- Act as liaison across the design lifecycle value stream (Manufacturing, Quality, Parts and Logistics, Race Team)
- Identify and resolve process inefficiencies and deputise for Head of Design Quality when required
