Overview
In this role you will own the DIL simulator for Williams F1 Team’s non-F1 programmes, ensuring reliable, high-quality sessions. You’ll plan, configure, and run end-to-end simulator activities with drivers, engineers, and commercial partners. Your work supports Driver Academy, heritage experiences, and commercial initiatives, shaping a trusted, professional client-facing facility. You will also maintain the facility with a proactive, downtime-minimizing approach. This is a hands-on, impact-focused engineering role in a high-performance environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate and execute DIL simulator sessions end-to-end
- Configure vehicle and track models, hardware, and software
- Lead sessions on the day and ensure high session quality
- Maintain the simulator facility and manage its calendar
- Plan and document maintenance, configurations, and data
Key requirements
- Experience operating simulation, real-time control, or complex technical facilities
- Practical mechanical and electrical skills including basic repairs and troubleshooting
- Strong communicator with drivers, engineers, and commercial stakeholders
- Methodical session planning, configuration, and data management
- High standards of documentation of maintenance and tech issues
- Proactive mindset

- Familiarity with motion platforms and simulation software
- Experience with rFpro
- Beckhoff TwinCAT or similar automation software
