The role will suit mechanical engineers with R&D or test experience from any manufacturing or materials testing background, you will have good working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and fluid power. Engineers will be confident in the assembly of complex mechanical equipment, high calibre graduates are encouraged to apply and those with transferable industry experience and a minimum level 3 mechanical qualification in a relevant discipline will be equally considered.
This is a small and very specialised business that works with a number of blue chip companies/manufacturers on bespoke R&D projects. They are leading the way in materials testing developments, capability and innovation.
You will work closely with the design, project management and assembly functions in all aspects of each bespoke project to ensure optimum results in terms of producing accurate data for tomorrow’s technology, that as of yet, no one else can produce!

Test Engineer (Materials Testing)
* Assembly of specialised Testing machinery
* Work with hydraulics, pneumatics, fluid transfer, general mechanical assembly.
* Run and monitor testing on new materials within controlled environments.
* Record, analyse and report on all test data
* Collaborate with assembly, design and project management functions on a day to day basis.
* Have a passion for R&D, be a team player and enjoy variety and challenge in your role.
