Mechanical Fitter required for a well-established manufacturer who are renowned and well respected in their industry. They are an employer who genuinely looks after their staff and invests in their people.
The Mechanical Fitter role would suit mechanical maintenance engineers or mechanical fitters who have a strong manufacturing background. You will ideally have had experience working within a heavy industrial or foundry environment. You must be apprentice trained or equivalent as a minimum.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for carrying out mechanical maintenance in both a reactive and preventative capacity. You will have involvement in maintenance projects such as machinery upgrades, refurbs and installation on site. You will work on a wide variety of plant and equipment types such as melting furnaces, strip casters, rolling mills, annealing furnaces, annealing/pickling lines, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, compressors and water pumps. You will work to strict H&S guidelines and benefit from working within an experienced team of engineers/fitters.
