ARE YOU A SENIOR DESIGN ENGINEER WITH EXPERIENCE WORKING WITHIN A MANUFACTURING ENVIRONMENT?
Senior Design Engineer required for a well established company who operate on both a national and international basis. They have considerable investment plans for significant growth. They are market leaders for innovation and are well renowned within their niche industry.
They offer a varied role and an opportunity to get involved with a broad product portfolio, high profile international clients/projects as well as the opportunity to influence all stages of the product lifecycle.
The role would suit experienced Design Engineers who have experience working within manufacturing environments. The successful design engineer must have experience of both 2D and 3D design software, NPD through to manufacture and value engineering. You must be able to demonstrate the ability to liaise with members of the team and other internal departments as well as dealing with suppliers and both UK based and overseas manufacturers.
Design Engineers will ideally have experience with a range of engineering processes and working with a range of materials used in contract seating. The role will be based within a fast paced design department, working on high value projects. You will be responsible for collating project requirements, BOMs and ordering requirements. You will also be responsible for new product developments, design improvements/value engineering as well as space planning and generating manufacturing drawings.
This role will involve working closely with sales, operations and procurement teams internally and will include liaison with customers, architects and senior site teams to ensure project designs are correct.
