This is a fantastic opportunity for business unit directors, sales, marketing and / or commercial directors with experience dealing with building merchants or plumbing supplies industry who seek an autonomous role with a high level of responsibility. You will essentially be a managing director of a business unit within a larger group set up.
To apply for the role, you must have a proven track record in sales and key account management as well as proven success in leading a sales team and specification sales. Relationship building at director level is a large proportion of this role. You must be able to demonstrate your experience of contributing to company growth. Applicants must have previously had full P&L responsibility in their roles. Candidates with experience of partnering with or working for builders’ merchants or within the plumbing industry will have a considerable advantage.
On a day to day, basis you will be responsible for the management and growth of a highly successful business unit within a well established manufacturing group. You will have 6 / 7 direct reports and full P&L responsibility. You will oversee sales, product management, NPI, marketing, customer service, supply chain and general operations. As part of the role you will manage circa 10 key client accounts. Up to 40% of the role will be centred around the nurturing and development of key customer relationships at director level. It is ESSENTIAL that the incumbent of this position is able to demonstrate proven success in key relationship development aiding growth, profitability and ongoing success within their business.
