Salary: £41,000 - £43,000 per annum, plus company benefits

Location: London EC1Y

Contract: Full time, permanent

Shifts: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a weekly rotating shift pattern (8:30am–4:30pm, 9:30am–5:30pm, or 10:30am–6:30pm) including a 30‑minute unpaid lunch break

Work model: Hybrid; with 2–3 days of remote work per week

Purpose of role

We are an in-house brand and creative team within a Magic Circle law firm, working as a fully integrated partner to the business. We deliver strategic branding and creative solutions across the firm, including the development of a new visual identity and its rollout across offices. Our work spans a broad range of projects, including social media, digital content, events, marketing materials, and internal communications, ensuring a consistent and well-crafted brand experience at every touchpoint.

Our Creative Designer will support the delivery of high‑quality design work across digital and physical platforms. Working closely with the creative team, the role contributes to the design process from concept development through to final execution. You will develop a good understanding of the brand and apply brand guidelines to ensure consistency and quality across deliverables. Using a range of design tools, you will produce well‑crafted, thoughtful work that supports both creative ideas and project goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver designs from concepts through to final execution, working closely with internal teams to ensure effective and timely outcomes
  • Ensure all outputs are on‑brand, fit for purpose, and delivered to a consistently high standard across digital and print touchpoints
  • Interpret and challenge client briefs, advising on style, layout, and best practice within corporate and brand guidelines
  • Own the management of design standards and templates, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and scalability
  • Act as a trusted design partner to clients, educating and influencing them towards effective and functional design solutions within scope and budget
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, overseeing timelines, quality control, and delivery while maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships

Personal Attributes

  • An experienced Creative Designer (3+ years) with a strong understanding of brand and design across digital and physical channels
  • Comfortable working independently, prioritising effectively and iterating at pace
  • Experience working both agency‑side and in‑house, with a solid understanding of corporate environments and high‑end clients
  • Brings a strong creative sensibility with an exceptional eye for quality, detail, and visual craft
  • Confident communicator, able to engage directly with clients, interpret briefs, and clearly articulate design thinking
  • Proactive problem solver with the ability to challenge, improve, and add value through design
  • Reliable under pressure, able to deliver high‑quality work to tight deadlines

  • Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Adobe Firefly)
  • Microsoft Office proficiency, including PowerPoint for creating and updating presentations as needed

Technical Skills

  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong application of typography, layout, colour, and composition
  • Translate complex information into clear, visually engaging content
  • Design presentations, reports, and editorial content with a strong narrative flow
  • Apply visual storytelling techniques to enhance messaging and impact
  • Ensure content clarity and consistency across internal and external communications
  • Develop and apply design systems and templates to ensure consistency and scalability
  • Produce high‑quality digital and print‑ready assets, managing production requirements end‑to‑end
  • Balance creative exploration with practical constraints such as timelines, formats, and budgets
  • Ensure quality control and accuracy across final deliverables
  • Collaborate with external vendors or internal production teams as required
  • A portfolio demonstrating a diverse range of creativity

Optional / Nice‑to‑Have Software

  • Motion and video tools (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition)
  • Figma for UI design, prototyping, and collaboration
  • Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS for improved collaboration with developers
  • Experience with AI‑assisted design tools or emerging creative technologies
