Williams Lea seeks a Solutions Manager to join our team. Williams Lea is the leading global provider of skilled, technology-enabled, business-critical support services, with long-term trusted relationships with blue-chip clients across investment banks, law firms and professional services firms.
Purpose of role:
Responsible for leading the strategic definition, design, and assurance of best-fit document production solutions for new and existing customers. The role owns the end-to-end solution lifecycle, from early opportunity shaping and value proposition definition through to implementation handover, ensuring alignment with customer objectives, operational capability, regulatory requirements, and commercial goals.
The Solutions Manager – Document Production works in close collaboration with Sales teams to identify, shape, and solution opportunities for prospective and existing customers. Acting as a subject matter expert and strategic partner, the role supports opportunity qualification, solution positioning, and customer engagement.
Key responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with Sales to identify, qualify, and solution document production opportunities for both prospective customers and existing accounts.
- Support opportunity shaping by translating customer needs into clear, compelling, and best-fit document production solutions.
- Take full ownership of articulating and presenting the document production value proposition to customers in collaboration with Sales.
- Lead customer discovery sessions, workshops, and solution discussions to define current state challenges and future-state operating models.
- Develop, maintain, and evolve solution strategies, sales enablement materials, and standardised solution collateral to support efficient opportunity conversion.
- Lead document production assessment and diligence activities, defining scope, approach, timelines, and success criteria.
- Analyse current state document production environments and develop pragmatic, customer-aligned recommendations.
- Prepare and present assessment findings, solution options, and business cases to customer stakeholders.
- Provide subject matter expertise to support executive level discussions, QBRs, and strategic customer engagements.
- Develop high-level implementation and transition plans for approved opportunities, ensuring sales commitments are accurately reflected.
- Collaborate with Implementation and Operations teams to ensure a smooth, accurate handover from presales to delivery.
- Develop and maintain accurate benchmarking information to support value-based solutioning and Sales conversations.
- Develop meaningful QBR and customer content focused on document production performance, optimisation opportunities, and roadmap recommendations.
- Collaborate with Marketing on demand generation initiatives, thought leadership, and web content related to document production services.
- Work with Technology teams to enhance existing platforms and evaluate new technologies that improve automation, workflow efficiency, compliance, and scalability.
- Establish and maintain relationships with external service partners, including technology providers, equipment vendors, and software partners.
- Create and maintain a document production "knowledge book" capturing solution designs, best practices, benchmarks, and lessons learned.
- Encourage innovation and continuous improvement by contributing insights and recommendations for service evolution.
- Ensure clear communication and effective knowledge sharing across Sales, Operations, Technology, and Delivery teams.
- Challenge the status quo where appropriate to ensure customer and organisational best fit.
- Regularly report on solutioning activity, achievements, and risks using prescribed tools and governance frameworks.
- Continually develop personal expertise to remain effective in a changing document production and technology landscape.
Personal attributes:
- Strong operational understanding of document production workflows, controls, and service delivery models.
- Proven ability to operate in a strategic context and translate customer objectives into executable solutions.
- Financially and commercially astute, with experience assessing requirements and recommending pricing and commercial structures.
- Working knowledge of MSAs, SOWs, and LOIs with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external legal and commercial stakeholders.
- Strong client-facing communication skills, with the ability to lead senior and executive level discussions.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and influence across matrix and virtual environments without direct authority.
- Ability to influence outcomes at senior and executive levels through insight and subject matter expertise.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and customer-focused problem solver.
- Appropriate level of technical knowledge in document production platforms, workflows, and technologies to support solution design.
Skills and Certifications:
- Project Management certification preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.
