Williams Lea seeks a Senior Receptionist to join our team!
Purpose of role
The Senior Receptionist will serve as the initial point of contact for clients and guests, thereby representing the first impression of our client’s firm. The professionalism, courtesy, and efficiency demonstrated by the team are essential in conveying the values of the organisation. It is imperative that the reception staff act as ambassadors for the brand and company, consistently providing exemplary service and a warm welcome to all visitors. Their efforts should ensure that each guest’s arrival is both positive and memorable.
Key responsibilities
- Welcoming guests at the 8th Floor lobby and acting as the main point of contact for any Front of House related matters for visitors/guests or employees for the firm.
- Escorting VIPs to meeting rooms ensuring an elevated service is provided.
- Continually monitoring reception inbox ensuring e‑mails are responded to in a timely manner, prioritising urgent enquiries, and forwarding relevant correspondence to the appropriate team members.
- Liaising with other departments to ensure efficient communication and guest service, creating a 'one team' approach to delighting your guests.
- Occasional requirement to support client functions that run into the evening, requiring additional FOH support.
- Upholding the client’s expectations in every interaction to ensure consistency and professionalism.
- Delivering 5-star services and continuously striving to improve standards.
- Taking the lead in FOH Operations, overseeing daily activities, proactively solving problems, and ensuring smooth operations.
- Assisting Team Leader with reporting and SOP management.
- Implementing service enhancements from a FOH perspective.
- Working with catering to ensure all requirements and refreshments for meetings are organised.
- Identifying opportunities to further enhance and evolve service and first impressions.
Personal attributes
- Previous experience in a Reception and People Management role is essential.
- Experience working on a reception desk for a blue-chip company within a busy office environment.
- Professional presentation and great interpersonal skills.
- Excellent command of the English language, both verbal and written.
- Operational experience working at prestigious events is beneficial.
- Highly organised with an eye for detail.
- Passion for achieving excellent guest service.
- Ability to work well under pressure and act pro-actively.
- Excellent leadership skills and experience in managing a team.
- Ability to prioritise and plan ahead.
