Williams Lea seeks a Senior Design and Production Lead to join our team!
Purpose of the Role
The Senior Design and Production Lead is responsible for the end to end delivery, production and quality assurance of all creative output across print and digital channels. This is a hands on role that combines practical execution with team leadership. The successful candidate will work closely with a small team of four, actively contributing to the work while organising, guiding and elevating the output of others. They will ensure that all deliverables meet the highest standards, with a meticulous attention to detail and a zero tolerance approach to errors. The core objective of this role is to lead the production and implementation of a consistent and high performing visual identity system across all touchpoints. This includes digital design, social media content, data visualisation, marketing materials and print. The role requires a deep understanding of cross media production processes and the ability to enforce consistency, accuracy and efficiency at every stage.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the production and delivery of all design projects across digital and print, ensuring efficient execution across the team
- Take a hands on role in delivering high quality design output while guiding and supporting team members
- Own and enforce rigorous quality control processes, ensuring all work is accurate, error free and meets the highest standards before release
- Ensure all outputs are fit for purpose, reviewing work at key stages and providing clear feedback ahead of deadlines
- Maintain and uphold consistent brand standards across all touchpoints
- Develop, manage and continuously improve templates and production workflows for both digital and print
- Organise and prioritise team workloads, ensuring effective collaboration and on time delivery
- Act as a client facing representative, confidently presenting work and managing feedback
Key Competencies
- Experienced design professional with strong leadership experience managing a small team
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise, delegate and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Exceptional attention to detail with a zero tolerance approach to errors and a strong focus on quality control
- Proven hands on experience across both digital and print production
- Strong understanding of branding systems and consistency across multiple channels
- Experience working both agency side and in house, with a clear understanding of workflows and stakeholder expectations
- Confident communicator, comfortable working directly with clients and senior stakeholders
- Strong creative judgement with the ability to guide and elevate team output
- Good awareness of industry trends, competitors and emerging technologies, with the ability to share insight with the team
- Proficient in Adobe Suite, Microsoft Suite
