Williams Lea seeks an Implementation Consultant to join our team! Williams Lea is the leading global provider of tech-enabled business and marketing services helping clients manage and transform processes through resilient, scalable 24/7 operations.
Purpose of role
The Implementation Consultant (IC) is a hybrid business and technical consultant who works closely with clients to implement and optimise Salesforce Marketing Cloud and related cloud solutions. The role focuses on translating marketing and business needs into effective technical solutions, resolving complex issues, and supporting successful delivery.
You will act as a liaison between clients, internal stakeholders and IT teams, assessing existing technologies and recommending appropriate solutions. This role involves managing cross‑functional project teams and leading implementations from initial discovery through to deployment.
Key responsibilities
- Analyse complex business and technical challenges, using strong knowledge of both domains to design integrated, effective solutions.
- Work closely with clients to understand their objectives, identify the most suitable solutions, and design processes that meet their needs.
- Lead client workshops to gather detailed business, marketing and technical requirements, identify risks, and present mitigation options.
- Collaborate with business architects to assess current capabilities and define high‑level requirements.
- Translate business requirements and use cases into clear inputs for designers, including system designs and test plans.
- Support multiple client engagements simultaneously, working effectively with internal and client-facing teams.
- Review and support product, performance and user acceptance testing to ensure solutions meet requirements.
- Present clear, solution‑focused overviews of platform architecture and integration capabilities to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Continuously develop technical and business knowledge, contributing ideas for process improvement and better use of tools and resources.
- Mentor junior analysts in requirements gathering techniques and documentation best practice.
- Provide on‑call support where required by client agreements.
- Travel as required.
Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Marketing, Communications, IT or a related discipline.
- 8+ years’ experience in digital marketing and Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including hands‑on implementation and support.
- At least 3 years’ client‑facing experience, or a strong track record of working with cross‑functional teams and building effective stakeholder relationships.
Skills and Competencies
- Working knowledge of HTML and SQL.
- Strong problem‑solving skills, with the ability to apply creative and analytical thinking in a collaborative environment.
- Comfortable managing multiple complex and sometimes ambiguous priorities at the same time.
- Excellent client‑facing skills, with a collaborative communication style that builds trust and delivers a positive client experience.
- Strong analytical capability, including the ability to interpret business objectives, identify risks, and highlight efficiencies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly at all levels of the organisation.
