Salary: £26,220 per annum, plus company benefits

Location: Edinburgh, EH3 8EJ

Contract: Full Time, Permanent

Shifts: 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday, between 8am until 5:30pm with 1 hour unpaid lunch break

Williams Lea seeks a Records Assistant to join our team!

Purpose of role

The Records Assistant position will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to our clients within a corporate law firm environment. Work requirements include file creation, labelling, retrievals, transfers, destruction, tracking and also document scanning. This position requires regular professional written and verbal communication with our clients, other departments and vendors. Coordination of records scanning and retrieval projects with other departments and external vendors is also required for this position, as well as file and database maintenance, fulfilling client record requests and general office duties as needed.

Key responsibilities

  • Organise and manage physical and electronic records.
  • Retrieve and provide documents as requested by the legal team.
  • Assist in the implementation of records management systems.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Support administrative tasks and projects as needed.

Personal attributes

  • Previous experience in records management, administration, or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and records management software.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
