Creative Lead

If Leeds based would be in the office 3 times per week, if London based would be in the London office once per week and visit Leeds once per month, the latter is expensed depending on home location

Shifts: 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 9am until 5:30pm (flexibility required) with 1 hour unpaid break

Purpose of role

The Creative Team Lead will be a dynamic, hands-on integrated designer based in the Leeds Onshore Delivery Centre, supporting a leading global law firm in London.

Reporting to the Global Creative Director, you will work closely with clients and the wider global delivery team, playing a key role in implementing the firm's recent rebrand, developing templates, and managing the rollout of consistent, high-quality branded materials.

You will be responsible for delivering innovative design across both print and digital channels, contributing to strategic campaigns and ensuring a cohesive visual identity across all outputs.

A strong focus on editorial design is essential, with advanced skills in typography, layout, and information hierarchy, particularly across brochures and reporting.

You will apply typographic systems with precision, maintaining consistency while understanding when to push creative boundaries.

The role requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual with strong organisational and communication skills.

You will interpret client briefs, translating them into effective, on-brand creative solutions in a fast-paced environment.

As a hands-on lead, you will actively contribute to design delivery while also representing the team, upholding quality standards, and overseeing the day-to-day management of the offsite team.

Key responsibilities

  • To provide integrated creative solutions and campaigns that bring to life the content and 'brand' design
  • Liaise with the client in a professional and helpful manner, proactively managing their expectations
  • Support the business to manage and deliver client work, on time with accuracy
  • Interpret and challenge the brief requirements, offering the best solution for clients
  • Take responsibility for escalating or resolving, as appropriate, any client issues, regularly communicating updates to the Global Creative Director
  • Help deliver the best branded solutions to the Client and market
  • Proactively providing Clients outstanding printed and digital marketing collateral, in compliance with brand guidelines
  • Think creatively to produce new ideas and concepts whilst working with the Global Creative Director
  • Produce templates and ensure consistency of design across the brand rollout and adoption across digital and print
  • Experience working with design principles of animation and moving image
  • To use the workflow software and adapt to any existing procedures within the team
  • Provide technical input and advice on print and digital projects as required
  • Produce final files for print and write print specs
  • Ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget
  • Creation of infographics
  • Quality checking and accuracy
  • To lead and develop the team through 1-2-1's, team meetings, development and performance reviews
  • To develop and up-skill the team to focus on digital solutions
  • Ensure that the workload and team is staffed correctly i. e. absence and holidays
  • Personal attributes
  • We require an extremely organised and dedicated individual with strong communications skills, and an advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, spanning print, digital/moving image design along with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • You will strive to achieve client satisfaction in all you do, as a key member of the Studio, your colleagues will support and help develop you wherever possible.
  • You will return the same sharing culture with your fellow colleagues and the business

Essential core skills required

  • Formally design trained with a relevant qualification in graphic design or relevant industry experience
  • Able to develop compelling concepts and offer innovative design solutions within corporate design guidelines
  • Strong editorial design experience, including long-form documents and reporting layouts
  • Advanced expertise in typography, layout systems, composition and information hierarchy
  • Proven experience writing brand guidelines to ensure consistency across print and digital
  • Experience in rolling lout of brand to support large-scale brand adoption
  • Confidence to present and explain ideas to clients and colleagues
  • Ability to balance work on several projects at a time
  • Understand and anticipate clients' needs and expectations
  • Innovative with the ability to implement problem solving initiatives
  • Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
  • Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite; Illustrator, Photoshop, In Design, Premier Pro, After effects, Dreamweaver
  • Experience in storyboarding animation and motion
  • Skill in animation and motion graphics are preferred but not essential
  • Video editing using Adobe suite is preferred but not essential
  • Knowledge of Share Point
  • Working knowledge of MS Office skill
