General Description

Working within the Supply Chain team to manage several core suppliers in a specialized commodity group aligned to your experience.

There are three commodity groups; Engines and Mechanicals, Composites; Marine Components

Main Duties

  • Ensuring purchase orders are placed in a timely manner to support demand.
  • Ensuring materials arrive on the purchase order required date
  • Maintenance of Supplier details on the ERP system.
  • Responsible for building solid working relationships with the suppliers
  • Monitoring performance and management of improvements
  • Maintaining a discipline of keeping PO delivery dates current on SAP

Ancillary Duties

To carry out such tasks and duties as may be required from time to time by Senior Management.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A good level of education, possibly with a business or procurement focus.
  • Demonstrate a competency in the use of MS Office Suite, including Excel, Word & Outlook, together with experience of using an ERP system
  • Experience of working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrate a competency in one or more of the commodity groups
  • The ability to read technical drawings and understand technical data.
  • Demonstrate a professional and entrepreneurial attitude.
  • Possess excellent communication and assertiveness skills.
  • Flexible and reliable
  • Self-motivated and able to multi-task
  • Demonstrate the ability to work under pressure to meet multiple project deadlines.
