We are now looking for a confident, highly organised and responsible**Salon Coordinator**to take ownership of the day-to-day coordination of the salon..
The Role.
The Salon Coordinator is a key operational role within Williams & Hirst, working closely with and reporting directly to the Directors..
You will be responsible for ensuring the salon runs smoothly day to day, including**coordinating the Front of House team and managing their rota**to ensure the salon is appropriately staffed..
With**18 workstations, over 40 independent hairdressers and a constant flow of clients, deliveries, brands and events**, this is a fast-paced role where excellent communication and organisation are essential..
You must be able to**work under pressure, prioritise quickly, take responsibility and make sensible decisions without needing constant direction**..
This is also a hands-on position.
Whether it's dealing with an operational issue, supporting Front of House, completing a stock check, speaking with an independent hairdresser or making client refreshments during a busy period, we expect everyone to work together to maintain the standards of Williams & Hirst.. **The ability to work evenings and Saturdays is an essential requirement of this position.
Applicants must have flexibility across these periods as part of their regular working pattern.**.
Key Responsibilities.
- Taking responsibility for the**day-to-day running and coordination of the salon**.
- Working directly with the Directors and communicating any operational issues clearly.
- Coordinating and supporting the**Front of House team**.
- **Managing the Front of House rota**, including planning shifts, holidays and arranging appropriate cover when required.
- Ensuring Front of House staffing reflects the needs of the salon and upcoming events.
- Supporting the Front of House team with their daily duties and ensuring tasks are completed to the required standard.
- Ensuring daily opening and closing procedures are completed correctly.
- Welcoming clients and maintaining an exceptional client experience.
- Preparing and serving client refreshments throughout the day.
- Maintaining the presentation and standards of all client-facing and communal areas.
- Supporting our community of 40+ independent hairdressers with day-to-day operational queries.
- Carrying out**regular stock checks**across salon, retail, hospitality and operational supplies.
- Monitoring stock levels, identifying shortages and ensuring essential items are reordered.
- Receiving, checking and organising deliveries.
- Liaising professionally with suppliers, contractors and external partners.
- Supporting the coordination of brand events, education and private hires.
- Identifying problems and taking ownership of resolving them.
- Communicating effectively between the Directors, Front of House team and independent hairdressers.
- Ensuring salon procedures, standards and house rules are followed.
- Having**tough or uncomfortable conversations when required**, while remaining professional, fair and respectful.
- Handling complaints or difficult situations calmly and knowing when something should be escalated to the Directors.
- Taking on additional operational responsibilities as the company continues to grow.
Who We're Looking For.

The salon can be extremely busy, with multiple things requiring attention at the same time.
You need to be able to remain calm, prioritise effectively and make decisions while continuing to deliver a high standard of service.. **Excellent spoken and written English is essential for this role**, due to the level of daily communication required with clients, independent hairdressers, team members, Directors, brands, suppliers and external partners..

**Able and willing to work evenings and Saturdays – this is non-negotiable and an essential requirement of the role**. **Previous salon experience is preferred**, particularly experience within a busy or premium salon environment.
Experience within high-end hospitality, hotels, members' clubs or other fast-paced customer-facing businesses will also be considered..
