Earnings and progression

We offer a competitive basic salary of £32,000 to £37,000 (dependent on qualifications), with realistic on‑target earnings of £37,400 up to £42,400. As your skills and experience develop, our structured career and training pathway can take your earnings up to £51,400 OTE.

Working pattern

This is a full‑time role, working Monday to Friday, 8.30am-5.30pm, with Saturday mornings on a 1‑in‑4 rota (8.30am–12.30pm).

About the Technician Role

As a Vehicle Technician, you’ll be responsible for carrying out servicing, maintenance, and diagnostics, ensuring all work is completed safely and to manufacturer standards. Working as part of a skilled and supportive workshop team, you’ll contribute to consistent quality, efficiency and customer satisfaction across the site. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work and wants to build a long‑term career in a well‑run, professional workshop environment.

What you’ll be doing as a Technician

  • Carrying out servicing, repairs and maintenance on vehicles to a high standard
  • Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults using computer‑based diagnostics
  • Repairing or replacing faulty components efficiently and safely
  • Road testing vehicles to ensure work is completed correctly
  • Following manufacturer checklists and procedures
  • Taking pride in tools, equipment and workshop standards
  • Maintaining accurate job records and following workshop processes
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve efficiency and quality targets
