Role Purpose:
The Head of Product Ownership is responsible for leading a team of Product Owners who work closely with the business groups and cross-functional technology teams to gather and refine requirements, define new features, and ensure alignment throughout project execution.
The Head of Product Ownership will also serve as a Product Owner for key initiatives, working hands-on to translate business needs into actionable workstreams. This role ensures that product delivery stays on course and works closely with the Head of Business Administration, as well as the wider TIG Leadership Team to maintain accountability and alignment with strategic objectives.
Main Duties:
Leadership & Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of Product Owners, ensuring they work effectively with stakeholders across the business and technology functions. Foster a collaborative and results-driven team environment.
Product Ownership: Act as a Product Owner for key projects, directly engaging with stakeholders to define product requirements, create user stories, and prioritise the backlog. Ensure that the products deliver value to the business and meet the defined success metrics.
Business & Technology Alignment: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that requirements are gathered accurately and translated into clear, actionable tasks for development teams. Ensure all initiatives are aligned with the overall business and technology strategies.
Feature Definition & Roadmapping: Work with stakeholders to define new features and functionality. Build and maintain product roadmaps to ensure that the team’s work aligns with organisational priorities.
Accountability & Execution: Partner with the Head of Business Administration to ensure that all deliverables are tracked, managed, and aligned to the team\’s OKRs. Drive accountability across the Product Owners team to ensure timely and successful project execution.

- Ensure effective and high-quality performance management is in place, and work with managers to make sure suitable measures are implemented to close any identified gaps in skills or knowledge within the team.
- Ensure effective talent management and workforce planning is in place.
- Ensure brand adherence and high standards of department presentation are upheld.
- Champion quality standards and continuous improvement across the business.
- Ensure cost cap requirements are understood and opportunities for efficiency are optimised.
- Ensure understanding of cost cap rules and requirements.
Qualifications and Experience Level:
- Proven experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager in a technology-driven environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor teams, particularly within an Agile software development framework.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders across various business functions.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and translating business requirements into product features.
- Excellent organisational skills with a track record of managing multiple priorities and ensuring timely delivery.
- Familiarity with motorsport or technology-driven organisations is a plus.
